Winston, our gentle giant, was just three days old when he was rescued from a local dairy farm, and he’s been growing like a weed ever since! Holsteins can grow up to 3,000 pounds, and Winston is well on his way to becoming one of our largest residents. Despite his size, Winston is incredibly calm and kind, always gentle with both his herd mates and the humans. He could easily push others out of the way to get to the hay bales, but Winston is far too polite for that—he waits patiently for his turn. His sweet nature makes him a beloved member of the herd, and he especially loves being brushed. Winston has always been a wonderful big brother to Petey, sharing his grain when Petey was just a little bumpkin. We love our gentle giant and his soft heart!
