Our seven silly ducks are quite the fun family. They are inseparable and love to play together in their many splash pads. They also enjoy ice cubes filled with kale on hot, sunny days or swimming in our bathtub together on freezing cold days. When they’re not swimming, they enjoy playing in their many tunnels and taking naps under butterfly bushes. Prior to being rescued, the ducks were dumped throughout parks in New York City, including Central Park and Prospect Park. Domesticated ducks will not survive on their own. They are unable to fly and escape from predators, and also do not know how to hunt for food. A rescue based in NYC called They All Want to Live saved Maggie, Merlin, Murtagh, McKinley, MichelAngelo, Meredith, and Albie. We are so happy they now call Schoharie Creek Sanctuary their home.
