Aethelbert is a “mini” Highland steer, surrendered when his previous owner moved. Often, mini cows like Aethelbert are used as attractions or petting zoo animals, and we couldn’t let that be his future. Despite his small stature, Aethelbert fit right in with the herd from day one, proving that he could play just as hard as the larger cows by headbutting and chasing them around. His playful nature and confidence quickly earned him the affection of his new family, and his herd mates often groom him to ensure his thick Highland coat always looks perfect. Aethelbert’s charm and handsomeness make him a star in the pasture, and we’re thrilled to have him as part of our sanctuary.
