Aethelred is a handsome young steer who came to us from a small dairy operation. He’s a “dual-purpose” breed, much like Finnan, and immediately recognized Arwen’s nurturing nature, deciding she would be his new mommy. Aethelred is incredibly affectionate, loving attention from everyone he meets, and he never says no to a treat or a good scratch. His name was chosen as a tribute to Arwen’s late son, Alfred, as Alfred the Great had a brother named Aethelred. He’s become a wonderful addition to the herd and has formed close bonds with both Arwen and his new rescue brother, Aethelbert.
